A good biography tells us not just about a person but also about the society, the culture and the ethos to which the person belonged. It tells about the times and places surrounding the person.

It develops into an anthropological, geographical, chronological and sociological study if written well.

Those who strongly oppose idol worship, do worship idols, they worship their sports idols, matinee idols and such.

Would you rather worship a stone idol that stands for lofty ideals that constantly reminds one to become person or worship someone who is skilled at their job?

The most important piece of furniture, in my opinion, is the mirror.

For, if we just look at our face while doing something, chances are we would not do some of the things we think we have to do.

For, the most influential judge of our actions lies not somewhere in the sky, but within us as our conscience.

For, then, even if we indulge in what we think is evil, we can be certain that we do it because we are truly evil, not because we think we will be forgiven.

For, we are not forgiven unless we can truly forgive ourselves. And we can never forgive ourselves completely for something we think is evil unless we are truly evil.

The approach towards the unknown and unseen reflects one’s attitude to life.

An optimist approaches the unknown with hope, enthusiasm and anticipation. A pessimist approaches the unknown with fear and apprehension.

To the optimist, the unknown is new and exciting. To a pessimist it is dark and dangerous.

It is the optimist and adventurer who breaks new ground. He lives and relishes each day of his life. The pessimist, on the other hand, only survives and exists till he is dead. He has nothing to look back at nor has anything to look forward to as fear and doubt hold him back.
